Garbiñe Muguruza, who won the 2016 French Open and 2017 Wimbledon Championships, is set to wed a man she met during an irregular experience around the 2021 U.S. Open.
Muguruza declared on Instagram and in Spanish media she will wed model Arthur Borges. She posted a photograph with Borges on her virtual entertainment account with an inscription straight out of the Tom Journey flick “Jerry Maguire.”
The tennis star and the model have one of the seriously fascinating histories of any relationship. She dished to Hola! Spain about how they met. She said that Borges loved hers and requested an image in the city.
“My lodging was near Focal Park and I was exhausted, so I figured I ought to take a walk,” she told the power source in Spanish. “I go out and I run into him in the city. Abruptly, he turns and says ‘Best of luck at the US Open.’ I was left reasoning, ‘Goodness, he’s so attractive.'”
Muguruza said that Borges being outside the tennis world was a green banner for her.
The two got participated in Marbella and Muguruza said it shocked her.
“It felt peculiar,” she said. “I was thinking something different and afterward when he proposed I began crying. I didn’t have the foggiest idea how to respond. I expressed yes amidst tears, it was exceptionally heartfelt.”
Muguruza is 449-238 in singles matches for her vocation. She was positioned as high as No. 1 on the planet in 2017 yet has returned to No. 132 as of April. She lost in the principal round of the Australian Open back in January and didn’t meet all requirements for the French Open.
